Indus Pattern Shirt ~ Naturally Dyed with Indigo, Iron & Madder

A soulful, lightweight shirt featuring a refined repeat design rooted in ancient geometry. The Indus Pattern Shirt is hand block printed using the Ajrakh technique — an intricate resist-dye process perfected by generations of artisans since the time of the Indus Valley civilisation.

Produced in extremely small batches, this shirt represents thoughtful, slow craft — made to be worn with ease and built to endure.

Cut from our lightest fabric ~ a fine organic Fairtrade Indian cotton (approx. 54gsm) ~ it wears cool and easy. Slightly more translucent than our other shirts, it’s ideal for warm weather, travel, or layering through the year.

Each piece is naturally dyed using real plant and mineral pigments ~ indigo, iron, and madder ~ brought to life through the interlocking block technique, where multiple hand carved blocks align to form a single pattern.

  • Light organic cotton ~ approx. 54gsm

  • Naturally breathable and soft on the skin

  • Dyed with real plant and mineral pigments ~ no synthetics

  • Handmade coconut shell buttons

  • Printed and dyed by a tenth-generation Ajrakh master

  • Every piece is one of a kind

Fit guide
This shirt has a relaxed cut. If you prefer a closer fit, consider sizing down.
Chest: S 42" | M 44" | L 46" | XL 48" | XXL 52"
(Measure your favourite shirt flat across the chest to compare.)

From seed to shirt, every step is intentional, from organic cotton farming to sun drying the finished cloth.
Slight variations in tone and pattern are part of its story ~ not flaws, but character.

Wear something soulful. Wear something rooted, deliberate and quietly bold.
