This beautifully handcrafted dowry pouch originates from one of the snake castes of western Rajasthan, where embroidery is not just decoration but a language of heritage and identity. Each stitch reflects the artisan’s skill, carrying symbols and patterns unique to their community.

I was lucky enough to find a few of these rare pieces on my last visit, The tribal embroidery, rich in detail, gives this pouch a unique character and a sense of tradition. Once a cherished piece, possibly part of a bride’s dowry or used to hold personal treasures, today it makes a beautiful keepsake, a collector’s piece, or a special way to store precious things.
