This hand woven scarf is made from undyed organic Kala cotton. Kala cotton is the indigenous cotton variety from the Kutch region of Western India. It is naturally pest and drought resistant so doesn’t require huge amounts of irrigated water like standard cotton. It is hand woven by the Vankar families in Kutch who have been handlooming fabrics for countless generations. This product supports traditional cotton genetics, traditional chemical free farming and village artisans.
